Lulee's playtime with playdough

This is Lulee enjoying her first time playing with playdough. What an experience. She loved the way it felt in her hands. It was so soft and the colors were so bright. She thought they were balls that she could throw or bounce. She was amazed at what all you can do with it. We coaxed her into smelling the playdough. She thought it was neat and kept wanting to smell it, until she learned there were many other things she could do with it.

Wow, look!!! She is all ready trying to juggle!!!

She gets really excited when Mommy is showing her how to shape and mold the playdough into something amazing.

Daddy is helping Lulee make things too. He made an octopus a snail and some other things that she is playing with.

Last, but not least, she is holding up the little birdie that she and Mommy made together. She played and played with this bird until she got tired of it. She tore it's little birdie head off and put it in a plastic bowl to bring to Mommy. Just like a cat that is so proud of it's little mouse kill and wants to show it off by bringing it to you on the front porch. Ha-ha!!!

Homemade Playdough

Staying at home with your little ones has lots of advantages, I have learned. I can do things that I never would have thought about before. I called a friend of mine the other day and told her that I was thinking about making playdough. Before I could even get the thought out of my mouth, she had mentioned that she had a link to this website that she is sending me that will tell you step by step instructions. Thanks Stephanie. :) The link is: www.instructables.com/id/How-to-Make-Playdough-(Play-doh)/

I followed the instructions and presto, we had our very own playdough. I will have to admit that I did burn my first batch. After you read the instructions you will probably wonder how in the world I burned it because it is supposed to be on a low heat. Well, I'm not going to admit how I did it, just that I did. Ha-ha!!!

I used a lot of gel food coloring instead of liquid food coloring. I don't really know if it makes a difference, since this is my first time, but I wanted to get really bright vivid colors.

It turned out pretty good if I do say so myself. Now I think I am going to learn how to do other crafty projects. I will be the craftiest mom on the block. Ha-ha!!! I'm talking quilts, hair bows, you name it.

Girls just wanna have fun

The other night Sadie bug, Lulee and I had a girls night. We did manicures, pedicures and Sadie even did Lulee's hair. We had a blast!!! We did our girls night in the living room while watching Little People, Big World. I absolutely LOVE that show. I have a fascination with little people.

Anyway, Sadie got all her polish out and spread it out so Lulee had a lot to choose from. Well, I was always a tom boy growing up and it seems these two have not taken after me in that regard. They both are all about phones, shoes, purses and yes, manicures and pedicures.

Sadie is such a girly girl. She and Nanny (their great-grandmother) have to hit the mall at least once a week. She definitely knows what styles are in and what are last week!!!

Sadie has expressed a strong interest in designing her own outfits already!!! She has to practice
things on Lulee as well.

My little shoppers...

I tell you it is so nice having help going grocery shopping. Sadie bug has been a big help since she was little. She use to push her own grocery cart beside mine and we would fill her cart up with things along with mine. It made her feel so proud to be helping Mommy out. She still helps out at age 12 and is teaching her little sister to do the same. Lulee has pushed her small carts around too. I haven't had my camera along during one of those times, but I will furnish a picture of that soon. :)

On this day Sadie and Alexandra both helped me out with things. Sadie helped grab things for me and Lulee would help hold them. Oh yes, for those of you who know me well, I did not have a buggy cover on this one because I had already clorox wiped the whole thing down. Ha-ha!!! She always wants to peek under the buggy covers anyway so I might as well get straight to the source and kill all those germies!!!

Our cute little chipmunk

Lulee, being the toddler that she is, has a hard time sitting through movies of any length. She is interested in the animated movies for about ten minutes. She will sit there and watch Hannah Montana shows with her big sister though. :)

Alvin and The Chipmunks movie is the first movie that she has actually sat through the whole thing. We were very impressed with how well this movie held her attention. She laughed all the way through it. It was like we were sitting there with a little adult. She got the jokes and laughed at them not just because we were laughing.

After the movie we decided we would get close and personal with Alvin and the Chipmunks. Lulee had a few things to say to them about how good they were in the movie.

Lulee's 1st haircut - - she is styling and profiling

Steady as she goes... Lulee sits still as Mommy and Daddy cut her hair together for her very 1st haircut. Daddy holds her head still underneath her chin carefully as Mommy gets the scissors and makes way toward her little bangs. Hold still Lulee this won't take long...

We work our way to the back, trying to be very careful when we cut so we don't cut off all her little curls.

Now it's Daddy's turn to perform cutting his part of the awesome 1st haircut. We take this very seriously. :)

Here she is...Miss America!!! She is sporting her new hair cut proudly. She did very well and seemed to really enjoy it. She liked going to the "Mom and Pop Chop Shop".

Nana's cute little Grand kitty

A midday visit from Nana turns out to be magical for Lulee as she is transformed into a little kitty. Lulee loves to be a kitty. She has two kitties of her own. Well, they are the family pets, but if she has anything to say about it, as she is picking them up and dragging them around, they are hers!!!

Wow, Lulee is looking in the mirror as she first witnesses her magical tranformation into a kitty.
She is thinking "Nana, how did you do this???"

She smiles and purrs in approval at her new kitty look.

MAKING THE BAND......FAMILY STYLE

Go, go, get it, get it...Here they are the future band members, Lulee, Nick-Nick and Sadie Bug. They love to do sing star and play the play station after school. They get along while singing and playing games, for the most part. Although, they are very competitive.

Here is Daddy singing a duet with Lulee while Logie-Lu is their biggest fan. I am of course a fan as well, behind the camera. I like to sing with them too. We bring down the house, ha-ha!!

Logie-Lu and Lulee are cheering Nick-Nick on while he plays his play station game. Lulee is one of the "big" kids too.

Every kid has to have a snack after school. Here's Logie-Lu eating his cereal that his Uncle Ryan made for him. Lulee is eating her snack as well, out of Daddy's hand like she is a little moo-cow. This is a game that they share together. They play it so often that she knows as soon as he puts some yummies in his hand, she gets to play moo-cow. If Daddy didn't have to go to work, this baby moo would be grazing all day.
