Birthday Playdate

Today started out with Lulee waking up excited about her playdate. Her little friend Brayden was coming over and it was his 4th birthday. She got herself dressed in a skirt and a cute shirt (which happened to have been worn the day before).  She looked in the mirror in her sisters and her bathroom and made sure her hair looked just right.  She took a comb and wet it and combed her hair over and over.

She is infatuated with Rapunzel, ever since the movie Tangle came out.  Then when she looked her best, she found her older sister's peppermint lipgloss, came in and asked me if she could keep it in her pocket and put it on everytime her lips get chapped.  How cute is she?!?!

My friend had a hair appointment and she had planned on taking her little boy, Brayden, with her, but I offered to have a Birthday playdate at my house.  They both were so excited.  Even though what Lulee had on was super cute, I decided to change her clothes into something not so "yesterday," literally. We then proceeded to get ready for her playdate.

We decorated aprons for both Brayden and Lulee (Alexa)....putting their names on them and accenting Lulee's with hearts and Brayden's with stars...to bake and decorate cookies in.

We pulled out the Superman birthday decorations that I had from Ryan's 30th Birthday party and strung up the banner and put the table cloth on the table.

Then the time they were both waiting for finally got here.  The doorbell rang and it was time for the playdate to begin.  They immediately ran into Lulee's room and started playing with the doggies that Lulee collects...she likes to pretend she is selling them to people.

Then they played basketball while the oven was heating up.

We baked cookies and the kiddos decorated them and made them so pretty and yummy.  Both of them kept saying "Mine is so awesome, mine is so awesome!!!"  They were so proud of their creations...they did a really good job too.

They tried their creations and according to the "little cookie critics" the cookies were deemed to be yummy. They then decided it was time to bowl on the Wii.  They had a blast.  They got along really well.  Then I served them lasagna and they ate together at Lulee's little table...each had their little bears sitting at the table with them and they were eating and then pretending to feed their bears.

They still weren't through playing even after Brayden's Mommy got here.  They ran back into Lulee's room and she was acting out the movie Tangled, which she calls Retangled.  We kept hearing her say to Brayden "You have to save me....now you have to cut my hair".

This playdate was definitely a HUGE success...they both had lots and lots of fun.
